The Misunderstood Message

This is my first poem, I’m honored to be elected,
Allow me to address a common misconception,
When we say Black Lives Matter, it’s not that we’re rejecting
All of the other lives, of course we respect it,
But We been ignored in our outcries, I’m sorry we feel neglected,
So we protest and riot, cuz nothings deadlier than silence,
Join with me brothers of all races—form an alliance,
We can triumph, but only together,
Cherish life, cuz the grave is lonely as ever.
